I’ve never put on inline skates before. Should I take skating lessons?
There’s no right or wrong answer to this question. Some people would say absolutely yes, while others (myself included) would say not necessarily. It’s really down to how confident you feel trying it out on your own. If you get stuck, ask another skater, we’re friendly enough!
I learned to skate on my own, and so did many of the other skate instructors I know. The thing to remember, is that you will fall at some point (it’s part of the learning curve), whether you get lessons from an instructor, or whether you choose to go it alone. Either way, for your own safety, you’ll need to wear knee, elbow and wrist guards.
So, are you confident enough to try skating on your own, or will you take skating lessons?
